Cholesterol

Is anyone struggling with their cholesterol? I've struggled at least 5 years with getting my numbers down. I've lost the weight, got my BMI down to 26. I literally eat 3 times a week. I still have 327 cholesterol and 200 triglycerides. My Dr gave me Lipitor and I don't want to take it. The only thing left for me to quit is smoking and coffee. If you take statins consider CoQ10. My cardiologist suggest that especially if you have any muscle side effects. Have been on Lipitor for many years. An also firm believer in vitamins and herbs.

Whats The Most Valuable Piece Of Advice You’ve Received Since Your Diagnosis?

One of the first things I was told is that an HIV / AIDs diagnosis brings with it a rollercoaster of ups and downs so make sure you buckle up. About two years into my diagnosis I can say this has definitely been the case, at least for me. How about yourself? Do any of you remember sage words of wisdom that rang true for you?

Focus on what is in front of you and do not focus much on past events that get you depressed and anxiety

have you talked to your doctor? have you told them you are moving out of the country and the new country don't have your current medication? They would be the best to ask what they would recommend.
