HIV has come a long way from the 80s and 90s. And yes I know many will live a normal lifespan albeit challenging. However do you really believe the science or the scientific community will ,which includes our drug companies that are keeping us alive really find a cure.i read a lot and im extremely hopeful but hiv is such an insidious virus that is exceptionally good invading and hiding in our bodies. If you can confront or have confronted the person who infected you what would you say to them in person if anything. I would tell them I forgive them since I’m also at fault for not playing safe.i played Russian roulette and lost. With that being said if they knew they were positive and didn’t tell me my answer would be extremely different

Sometimes HIV and its medications wear on us.
Whether it be weight, arthritis or other ailments like facial wasting , it can take its toll.....🙄

As we apply for Ryan White funding, housing, preventive care, food stamps,.. Etc, ...what do you expect from the person who administers the paperwork for your case?

With covid-19 ,..now two years strong and this winter storm at its peak, depression and isolation set in.

It is a miracle and blessing we have vaccines for Co-vid released just this year. My question as a long termer diagnosed with HIV in 1987, why has it taken, in my case, 34 years for such a vaccine be developed for HIV/AIDS? The Pharmaceutical companies have made billions since manufacturing meds for HIV/AIDS. Why would these companies want to put out a vaccine or cure over making billions of dollars? And why are there not more generics for HIV meds? It all kind of makes one wonder… read more
