A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Seattle, WA

Besides taking your HIV regimen religiously every day, do you tend to lag behind on any other medications you take? I take my HIV pill at 8pm every night. But my neurapathy pill, inflammatory pills, lung medication I tend to lack on sometimes. I have alarms set to take my meds, but sometimes I just don't take them. BESIDES your HIV… read more

Should The Term "AIDS" Be Retired? I Think @A myHIVteam Member

A myHIVteam Member asked a question 💭
Sierra Vista, AZ

Should the term "AIDS" be retired? I think @A myHIVteam Member might have mentioned this, but this is the first time I've seen it on Medscape.
Is AIDS just advanced HIV infection, or would eliminating the term give the impression that it's no longer a problem?

A myHIVteam Member

On the other hand, it might mean that deaths from TB and malaria are down, due to better control of the pathogens & mosquitoes.

Epidemiology is complicated by many factors, like poverty, war, the… read more
